Radio Broadcasts This collection of recordings was made available by former BK Knight John Lee (’72), an outstanding offensive and defensive lineman who played during the Forrestal and Schmidt eras. Lee was the youngest of three boys who played at BK in the early days of the program. John’s mother, the late Lucille Lee, recorded the games on cassette tape each Friday night and carefully stored them in a shoebox for many years. We are grateful to the Lee family for sharing this collection with BKfootball.com. The games were originally carried on KGEM 1140 AM .

* Special Recording* November 12, 1971 – BK 6 Jerome 14 – This is the radio broadcast of Bishop Kelly’s first-ever post-season game, which was played at BK on a wet and muddy field. The Knights had one of the best defensive units in school history and qualified for this playoff, which was considered the “A-2 State Championship” at the time, by taking second place in the Snake River Valley conference. The league champion Nyssa Bulldogs were not eligible to play in this game because this was a State of Idaho championship game, and the Bulldogs hailed from Oregon.
