ALL TIME LEADER: Cody Closes Out Record-Setting Career at Colorado

Bishop Kelly alum Cody Hawkins ’06 concluded his college career as quarterback of the Colorado Buffaloes on Friday in Linclon, Nebraska, by setting all-time passing records at CU.  Hawkins, who already owned the school record for Most Touchdown Passes, etched his named in the record books for Most Pass Completions and  Most Passing Yards.  He exceeded the career totals in all of these categories over CU notables Kodell Stewart, Koy Detmer, Darian Hagan, Joel Klatt, and Sal Aunese.

There is a good article on Cody in The Longmont Times that captures his positive approach to football and his commitment to having a well-rounded college experience, not limiting himself to the enclave of the athletic realm. His accomplishments at BK and CU are many, on and off the field. (His completion to fellow BK Knight Kyle Cefalo ’07 is a favorite of the BK Alumni Association.)  BKFOOTBALL.COM congratulates Cody Hawkins on a college career well played — make that incredibly well-played –  and a future as bright as the Friday Night Lights at Nick Ysursa Field.
