1388 DAYS LATER: Cefalo Successful in College Grid Debut

3 years, 9 months, 19 days — that’s how long it had been since Kyle Cefalo ’07 had played in a football game.  The former standout QB for the Knights made his college debut today at Invesco Field at Mile High Stadium in Denver as a wide receiver for the Colorado Buffalos.

Kyle had two catches for 16 yards and played extensively in the Buffs receiver rotation.  It was way back on Nov. 17, 2006, the night of the 4A State Championship game at Bronco Stadium, that he had last played.

Teammate Cody Hawkins ’06 saw special teams duty in his current role as QB2 for Colorado. The Buffs beat Colorado State, 24-3. More info at www.CUbuffs.com. Also some good stuff here from the Denver Post.
