BKFOOTBALL.COM is proud to present the first-ever  ALL-TIME ALL-IDAHO FOOTBALL ALL-STAR TEAM, a collection of the best football players in the history of the State of Idaho.   The All-Time All-Idaho team was selected by a small group of native Idahoans with an appreciation for the history of football in the Gem State.

CRITERIA: The committee considered players and coaches who were born in Idaho and/or played high school ball in Idaho.  College and professional achievements were weighed subjectively by committee members.  Players were reviewed based on their entire football career, not just high school or Optimist Football League exploits.

COMMITTEE: The selection committee included two members who were born in Northern Idaho, Barney Brunelle (Idaho ‘51), and  Nick Brunelle (Boise State ‘81); a pair of Boise natives who are the primary contributors to BKFOOTBALL.COM,  Andy Brunelle (Boise State ‘82; Oregon ‘85); and John Brunelle (Pacific ‘83); and Eastern Idaho native George Katsilometes (Idaho ‘81), a sports history aficionado and former sportswriter for the Idaho State Journal and Lewiston Morning Tribune.

PURPOSE: Curiosity. We weren’t aware of any such team being selected in the past and we wanted to see what the starting lineup would look like.  Plus, calling out the All-Time All-Idaho team might lead to some awareness of past performers who should be recognized, and maybe bring to light others we have overlooked.

WHY IS THIS A BKFOOTBALL.COM PROJECT? Well, we had the idea, and we have a website. Plus  we wanted to make sure a BK guy got included on the roster.
