POST SEASON HONORS: Hyder, Charles Among the Noted Knights
The East All Stars dominated the West 27 – 9 in the 13th annual game on Saturday. The game was played at Eagle High’s Thunder Stadium with parents, friends, and football fans from around the valley watching. Mt. Home’s Kyle Kerfoot was named the East player of the game, who was aided by the protection and blocking of BK’s Brock Hyder. (Nice headband Brock) Ken Starr of Meridian was named the West player of the game. The East defense was outstanding in their effort, with Cam Charles recovering a fumble, and Adam Weissbeck rotating in. East scores came from Geraldo Hiwat-Capital, Abraham Naway-Borah, David Unruh-Nampa Christian, and Jeff Bediako-Boise. Naway’s touchdown was the result of an electrifying 99-yard run off of an option. Proceeds from this game go to the Shriner’s Transportation Fund. Congratulations and thanks to the coaches and players from BK who worked hard and were able to enjoy one last game of football for a very worthy cause.
